Ceramic tooling is highly efficient when it comes to CNC machining Inconel and other nickel based super alloys… Ceramics are also known for their fireworks show… meaning they are always ran dry and turn into a ball of flames as they engage the material. Don’t be alarmed though as ceramics are chemically inert. The tool material does not heat up at all and instead dispels the heat from the cut. Although Ceramics run faster than carbide tools, their life span in cut is considerably less. Companies
